The 2011 EPAC Kids’ Theater Workshop
Registration for the 2011 EPAC Kids Theater Workshop began on December 1, 2010 and closed on January 8, 2011, with the start of the first class..
Part of the mission of the Endicott Performing Arts Center is to offer area youth education and experience in the performing arts. The EPAC “Kids’ Theater Workshop” offers a ten week theater program with classes beginning on January 8, 2011, and culminating with performances of the hit Broadway musical, HAIRSPRAY, in March. Classes are open to children from ages 6 through 18. This will be EPACs 12th consecutive year offering the EPAC Kids’ Theater Workshop.
A multi-TONY-Award winner, HAIRSPRAY, delighted audiences by sweeping them away to 1960s Baltimore, where the 50s are out -- and change is in the air. Lovable heroine, Tracy Turnblad, has a passion for dancing, and wins a spot on the local TV dance program, "The Corny Collins Show." Overnight she finds herself transformed from outsider to teen celebrity. Can a larger-than-life adolescent manage to vanquish the program's reigning princess, integrate the television show, and find true love (singing and dancing all the while, of course!) without mussing her hair?
The cost for the 10 week EPAC Kids’ Theater Workshop is $325. $175 of that is due at registration time. The remainder of $150 is due February 1st. A family discount is available for siblings.
For questions and additional information about the EPAC Kids’ Theater Workshop please call 607-785-8903.
