Shakespeare in the Park

 

The Shakespeare in the Park program was organized in 2004 and has presented the following productions:

EPAC’s Shakespeare in the Park Celebrates 10th Anniversary with  “Love, Shakespeare!”

ENDICOTT, NY –– The Endicott Performing Arts Center (EPAC) celebrates the 10th Anniversary of their annual “Shakespeare in the Parks” program with the EPAC Repertory Company’s presentation of Shakespeare’s best love scenes by the Bard.  The show is titled “Love, Shakespeare” and will be presented free to the public at 7:30 nightly from Thursday, August 15  through Sunday August 18 at Stage at Little Italy  located in the George W. Johnson Park on Oak Hill Avenue in Endicott. 

Chris Nickerson is the Project Director and will also direct scenes from ‘Richard III’.  Other directors and show scenes included are: Julia Adams (‘Romeo & Juliet’ and ‘Titus Andronicus’) Shirley Goodman (‘Much Ado About Nothing” & “Midsummer Nights Dream”), Josh Sedelmeyer (‘Winter’s Tale’) and Charles Berman (‘Two Noble Kinsmen’).   The cast includes: Chris Nickerson, Josh Sedelmeyer, Charles Berman, Julia Adams, Shirley Goodman, Marisa VanNess, Samantha Sloma, Amoreena Wade, Debbie Fisher, Amy Smith, David Hamme, Mike Ziemba, Julie Cimaomo, Corinne Vizvary, Tim Mollen, Nate Chen and Anna Chen. 

“This is our 10th annual Shakespeare in the Parks production”, says EPAC Director Patrick Foti.  “It’s EPAC’s way of thanking the community for their support throughout the year   This year’s show goes out to the community with ‘Love from EPAC’. “

Admission is free, although a goodwill offering is encouraged.  Refreshments will be available at the park and blankets and lawn chairs are suggested.  For more information contact EPAC at 607-785-8903.
