Sexual Harassment Prevention Notice

Sexual harassment is against the law.

All employees have a legal right to a workplace free from sexual harassment, and The Endicott Performing Arts Center is committed to maintaining a workplace free from sexual harassment.

Per New York State Law, EPAC has a sexual harassment prevention policy in place that protects you. This policy applies to all employees, paid or unpaid interns and non-employees in our workplace, regardless of immigration status. You are receiving this notice, as required by law, either at the time of hiring or during your annual sexual harassment prevention training.

If you believe you have been subjected to or witnessed sexual harassment, you are encouraged to report the harassment to a supervisor, manager or EPAC Board Member so we can take action.

Protective Equipment: To ensure EPAC employees comply with protective equipment requirements, EPAC agrees to the following:

✔Employers must provide employees with an acceptable face covering at no-cost to the employee and have an adequate supply of coverings in case of replacement.

EPAC will provide the proper PPE for identified paid employees. The EPAC Maintenance person will be required to wear PPE during entire work shift at EPAC. This employee is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting all bathroom facilities and public areas in the Endicott Performing Arts Center. These shifts are at during 'open' hours of business and spread across multiple shifts throughout the week to insure proper PPE requirements are met.

What quantity of face coverings – and any other PPE – will you need to procure to ensure that you always have a sufficient supply on hand for employees and visitors? How will you procure these supplies?

EPAC will provide access to PPE in the form of face masks to any and all visitors, volunteers and employees upon request. EPAC will purchase regulation style face masks as part of its normal ordering of cleaning and maintenance products like cleaners, disinfectants, and hand sanitizers.

✔Face coverings must be cleaned or replaced after use or when damaged or soiled, may not be shared, and should be properly stored or discarded.

EPAC will provide disposable PPE for paid employees. The PPE will be stored properly and discarded after each use to ensure compliance with PPE recommendations. The EPAC Maintenance person is required to wear gloves when cleaning and disinfecting areas of the EPAC facility. The PPE supplied by EPAC will not be shared, as it is disposable.

List common objects that are likely to be shared between employees. What measures will you implement to ensure the safety of your employees when using these objects?

✔Limit the sharing of objects and discourage touching of shared objects or frequently touched areas. EPAC Employees can wear gloves (trade-appropriate or medical); or, sanitize or wash hands before and after contact.

EPAC props, costumes and tools can often get shared between artists, students and volunteers. EPAC instruments and technical equipment is also shared sometimes with musicians and technicians. All EPAC Props, Tools, Instruments, and Technical Equipment will be disinfected before and after each use when possible. All EPAC Costumes, Hats and Wigs will be laundered, sprayed and disinfected before and after each use when possible.

Hygiene and Cleaning: To ensure employees comply with hygiene and cleaning requirements, you agree that you will do the following:

✔Adhere to hygiene and sanitation requirements from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Department of Health (DOH) and maintain cleaning logs on site that document date, time, and scope of cleaning.

The EPAC Maintenance Person will maintain a cleaning log and keep it in the EPAC Cleaning Closet for access to the public if needed. This EPAC Employee is responsible for the cleaning of public areas as well as disinfecting all bathroom facilities and theater seating after every show/event, and on a regular weekly basis. This EPAC Employee always adheres to and complies with NYS DOH Requirements, as well as CDC Guild lines.

✔Provide and maintain hand hygiene stations for personnel, including handwashing with soap, water, and paper towels, or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing 60% or more alcohol for areas where handwashing is not feasible.

Where on the work location will you provide employees with access to the appropriate hand hygiene and/or sanitizing products and how will you promote good hand hygiene?

EPAC requires hand washing by employees and promotes it with signage to patrons and volunteers. EPAC will provide all patrons, volunteers and employees with access to hand washing stations throughout the EPAC Facility. Hand Pump Hand Soap/Sanitizers will be located in the restrooms at multiple points around the center for easy access to hand hygiene.

✔Conduct regular cleaning and disinfection at least after every shift, daily, or more frequently as needed, and frequent cleaning and disinfection of shared objects (e.g. tools, machinery) and surfaces, as well as high transit areas, such as restrooms and common areas, must be completed.

Communication: To ensure the business and its employees comply with communication requirements, EPAC agrees to the following:

✔Post signage throughout the site to remind personnel to adhere to proper hygiene, appropriate use of PPE, and cleaning and disinfecting protocols.

✔Establish a communication plan for employees, visitors, and customers with a consistent means to provide updated information.

✔Maintain a continuous log of persons, including workers and visitors, excluding customers, who may be encouraged to provide contact information to be logged but are not mandated to do so.

EPAC will keep record of all signed contracts, release of liability forms and Health Questionnaires submitted by all employees and volunteers of EPAC.
